Our Core Philosophy

"There's something spellbinding about the drapes of a saree, with its enigmatic elegance and promise of exquisiteness. We bring together a confluence of elements, cultures, and thought processes to create recherché sarees that evoke unbound happiness. Our sarees are inspired by the summers of Madras, the longing crash of waves, and petrichor. We complement basic styles with evolved ethnic elements, crafting products that mean something truly valuable to you."

Concept & Storytelling

Passion Through Purpose

The current content covers some aspects of the business, and its value proposition, with dazzling product photoshoots. However, in an industry filled with colours and textures, and a variety of brands for customers to choose from, saree labels need to stay at the top of their game with unique storytelling methods.

Stories that evoke pangs of nostalgia and stories that show passion through purpose are synonymous to the saree industry. The audience would be interested in seeing repertoires of interesting stories, behind-the-scenes acts, people behind the brand, and the variety of products that Saaramati showcase.

"As much as people love symmetry, they enjoy seeing brands with a tinge of humanness. The most underrated mantra in the social media world is: If they like you, they will like your content. There are no two ways about this."

About the Founder

Curated by Kavitha

Saaramati is an extension of its founder Kavitha's ideologies and styling. Kavitha has an innate understanding of the market and how South Indian culture and sarees are intricately tied, complete with its buyer's bias, love for the arts and culture, and connection to a specific aesthetic crowd.

Her instinctive approach to buying patterns and keen sense of styling have helped unravel the kind of sarees that would inspire a whole new generation to wear. Kavitha's love for rediscovering colors such as MS Blue, Raamar pachai, and other beautifully handpicked colors defines the color palette for the line she is curating.

Brand Vision

Accessible South Indian Fashion

Saaramati wishes to break stigmas and make styling and South Indian fashion more accessible and approachable to women who want to be true to themselves. The brand aims to establish a thought process that resonates with its audience. With its unique offerings, Saaramati wants to create engaging posts with an inspiring brand language, having a wider ripple effect.

This will help establish a stronger connection with the audience through home-generated content, common points of reference, and semi-educational content to educate them on weaves, materials, and trends.

"Saaramati crafts content with a conversational tone, infused with experimentative freshness and a love for style and nostalgia. Every piece of content has a touch of freshness, nostalgia, and expresses a deep love for Chennai's culture and identity. With this approach, Saaramati aims to connect with its audience in a meaningful way."
